Still threading the loom...

My drawing class got out early on Tuesday, so I went to finish dressing my loom. This is where I got 5 hours later. It's hard to thread because each one has to go through each heddle in the correct order. It's also physically demanding because of all the reaching and bending.

  3. THis is incredible! you won't have to go to the gym, lol!
I loved your previous post, and the ACEO you got. I had a budgie that passed away on Valentine's day a few years ago, I adored him, he was such a character! Birds are such special creatures aren't they?
I'd love a parrot, but I'm not home enough and it would be unfair to leave it alone so much...so I have a lovely canary instead :-)
    have fun at school

  4. Canaries are sweet Pink :-) It's amazing how the different parrots have such different personalities - Feisty is happy to be by himself, but Muffin is more needy and likes people more than other birds! There's nothing quite like a budgie though :-)

Yup - I should have flat abs in no time from all this bending :-)

Deb - stay tuned! I'm going to the art college tomorrow and fingers cross I finish the threading part.

It takes a lot of patience Stacy, but hoping the outcome is worth it :-)

  5. Your pictures of threading the loom make me smile and feel happy inside. They bring back memories of when I was studying weaving. Like an intricate puzzle, but you know it will be so amazing once you begin weaving and the pattern begins to take shape. Thanks for sharing your progress! Kathryn

  6. Hi Kathryn, that is so true! We were given patterns to try without knowing what they would look like. Some of them are pretty neat. An intricate puzzle is a great way to describe it :-)
